Baby Rescue

At two months old, Tariku weighed only 3.6 kilograms (under 7 pounds) when he came to Dave and Lynn's home. Abandoned by his mother, his 19 year old father was unable to care for him. For the first few days he had to be fed with a dropper; he was too weak to suck from a bottle and severe dehydration prevented him from even closing his eyes. Within a couple of weeks he began to grow and today he is healthy, very active boy just turned three years old. His family was still unable to care for him and in October of 2007, Dave and Lynn adopted him.
